On Thanksgiving weekend in 1996 Patty Falck opened Ta-Da in the front of her husband Steve's custom home building office on William Street in Berlin, Maryland. The store featured Patty's handpainted glassware and furniture as well as a small selection of gifts. Patty quickly realized that Ta-Da needed more room to grow so she pushed Steve's office further to the back of the building and eventually across the street to his own space. For the past 13 years Patty has developed a loyal following for her beautiful handpainted glassware and artwork as well as her unique selection of other items that has grown to include jewelry, home accents and accessories.
In the spring of 2007 Patty & Steve's oldest daughter, Blair Falck Parsons, opened Blair Elizabeth in Rehoboth Beach, Delaware. Blair Elizabeth featured Blair's handmade jewelry as well as an original selection of gifts & home accents. For three years the store had great success and Blair developed her own loyal following as well.
In September 2009 Patty was approached about moving Ta-Da into a larger location on Main Street in Berlin that would not only double the size of the original Ta-Da, but would also allow for an office space for Steve's company in the same building again. After much deliberation, Blair decided to move out of Rehoboth and to share the new space with Ta-Da. The move has so far been a great success, allowing Patty to dedicate more time to her artwork and Blair to her jewelry.
